This notice is published under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (特定商取引法). It sets out who operates Willow Harbor Stone and on what terms the paid sessions are offered. Because the first conversation is free and every other fee is quoted before you agree, the table below mostly points to the written quote; please read the quote itself as well, since it is the document that fixes the price, the payment date and the cancellation terms for your own sessions.

- Information and organising support for end-of-life planning (planning notes, records overview, care-wishes notes, family conversation). It is not legal, tax, medical or funeral service, and no professional qualification is claimed.
- Price
- The first conversation is free of charge. Other sessions are quoted in writing, in Japanese yen and tax-inclusive (税込), before you agree. No fixed price list is published because the scope varies.
- Additional charges
- None beyond the written quote. For remote sessions, your own internet and telephone costs are yours. Fees of lawyers, notaries, scriveners, tax accountants, doctors or funeral companies are separate and set by them.
- Payment method and timing
- Stated in the written quote.
- When the service is provided
- On the date agreed with you by email. Nothing is booked or paid for through this website.
- Cancellation and refunds
- Conditions are written in each quote. A session that has already taken place cannot be returned. If we fail to provide a session as agreed, we refund the fee for that session.
- Cooling-off
- The cooling-off system under the Act does not apply to transactions made at a distance through the internet (通信販売). Please read the cancellation conditions in the quote before accepting it.
- Qualifications
- None is claimed. Legal, tax and medical questions are for licensed professionals.
How an engagement works
You write to us through the contact form, by email or by phone. We reply by email and suggest a time for a free first conversation. If you then want further sessions, we send a written quote that names the sessions, the fee in yen including tax, how and when payment is due, and the cancellation conditions. An agreement is formed only when you accept that quote in writing, and the first paid session takes place on the date you and we have agreed. Nothing on this website takes a booking or a payment.
Why some details are given on request
Willow Harbor Stone is a small operation. Instead of publishing a personal name on the open web, we give the operator's legal name and the name of the person responsible when someone asks for them by email, and we answer without delay. If you would rather know before you write to us, send a short message asking and we will reply with those details.
Language and currency
This website is written in English. All fees are stated in Japanese yen, tax-inclusive. We do not charge in other currencies and we do not ask for payment in advance of a written quote.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with a session or with the way we have handled your information, please write to the email address above and tell us what went wrong. We will reply with how we propose to put it right. For general consumer advice in Japan you may also contact your local consumer affairs centre.
